Project Sales Pitch:
According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, “About 1,825 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 die from alcohol-related unintentional injuries, including motor-vehicle crashes.” No Hokies Left Behind is a program designed to decrease these statistics by providing safe rides and creating greater awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence. The program is a collaborative effort with the Blacksburg Police Department and many other entities in the Virginia Tech community. Together, we want to promote No Hokies Left Behind to create a safer and more secure community.
